Birmingham: All Pakistan Women’s Association (APWA) celebrated the 71st Independence Day of Pakistan at Piquant Restaurant, St Mary Rows Moseley. The chief guests were MP Jess Phillips, MP Shabana Mahmood, Councillor Mariam Khan, Councillor Safia A Noor and others. Approximately 100 ladies attended the event. The message delivered by APWA on this 71st Pakistan Independence Day was to continue this independence with new hope and spirit. They hoped that the young Pakistani generation should get their identity and better future soon. They also sang the national anthem and Mili Naghmas.
