British Kashmiri Women Farkhunda Rehman’s Harassment Case

London: British Kashmiri woman Farkhunda Rehman made accusations during a press conference at the Kashmir Press Club, Mirpur, along with the leaders of Awami Action Committee Raja Zulifqar Ahmad Advocate, Saad Ansari Advocate, Noman Arif, Nazia Shah Advocate and Amir Butt.

She stated “I was abducted by Police Officer Imran Gujjar, SHO of Thothal Police Station, Mirpur Azad Kashmir. He took me to a private house on the pretext of the police station by threatening to shoot me. There he subjected me to immoral and indecent acts under the influence of alcohol for five hours.

During this time he mentally tortured me and attempted to rape me and shoot me. The police are trying to save their colleague and are refusing to launch an judicial inquiry۔ I do not accept the enquiry committee. A judicial inquiry should be conducted by a High Court judge to investigate the incident. I am fighting for my right. Please do not associate me with a group or gang. I took the name of Commissioner Mirpur by mistake. Former Additional Commissioner Sajid Aslam referred me to Imran Gujjar and asked him to help me to resolve a land issue. I demand that SHO Imran Gujjar be immediately arrested and punished”.
