Birmingham: The Conservative Friends of Bangladesh Midlands held their Iftar dinner and Bangladesh’s 53rd Independence Day Celebration at the prestigious Badshah Palace in Birmingham, West Midlands.
The event was graced by the presence of Rt. Hon. Wendy Morton MP, CFOB MP Patron, a distinguished British politician who has served as Chief Whip of the House of Commons and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury. Fajli Bibi, Chairman of Conservative Friends of Bangladesh Midlands, hosted the event.
It commenced with the national anthems of Bangladesh and Great Britain, followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of the freedom martyrs. The audience was captivated by a delightful performance of Nasheed by the talented Eliza. Imran Al Hussain, Vice Chairman, provided insights into the Bangladesh Freedom Movement, while Dr. Josh Ahmed, General Secretary, emphasised the significance of Ramadan. Hussain Rahim, Vice Chairman, extended gratitude to Honorable Member of Parliament Wendy Morton, media representatives, and esteemed guests.
The event concluded with the distinguished guests sharing Iftar and relishing delectable Asian cuisine.
