Praise from Movie Critics

The film received a number of positive reviews upon its release in Pakistan and several notable publications wrote features on it, earning it universal acclaim. Majorly critics praised the work of the director, Essa Khan. “Shahroz and the ear-catching dialogues, are the glue that bind Essa’s uncomplicated, routine love story, that’s anted-up as a near-excellent motion picture … heralds the arrival of a bright young filmmaker,”

wrote Dawn (newspaper). The roles of the lead cast were also lauded by other publications including The Tribune.

Premise

A hopeless romantic takes on the world to stop his ex-girlfriend’s wedding and reignite true love.

Album

The film album is primarily composed by Adrian David.
Pop culture website Something Haute hailed the first single, titled “Mann Ranjhan”, “a memorable addition to the list of melodious love songs from Pakistani films.” The music video of the second single, titled “Ghazab Kurriye” (vocals by Jonita Gandhi) made waves back home for its production design, costumes and choreography with more than one publication labelling it the wedding anthem of the year.

Word from the Director/Producer:

“My cinematic opus is 2 hours long but it took me years to make. I sold my family home, a place filled with cherished memories, just to secure 15 more days of filming. Then came the moment I traded my Bitcoin stash for mere $6,000 to hire slightly prettier extras on shoot day, a decision that would haunt me as it soared to staggering $40,000 shortly after. By the time my movie hit theatres I was without a car trudging a kilometre through blistering 40-degree heat to get groceries. The end result was that a small group of viewers did manage to find joy in my creation. Success!”
