London: The creators of The Legend of Maula Jatt have announced that the revenues from the first day of shows will be donated to flood victims in Pakistan. “This would be our small contribution to the ongoing catastrophe in the country,” says producer, Ammara Hikmat. “We had decided to share our preview show earnings with the flood relief fund.”
The producer also mentioned how the film’s promotion was delayed in solidarity with the flood disaster. Hikmat explained “We had been planning the release for months”…“But with the ongoing situation in the country, we delayed our promotions as well. It just didn’t feel right. We pushed all interviews to the last 2 weeks of release and will leave the rest for the audience to decide.”
This powerful and epic hero origin narrative is a hard reboot of the 1979 cult hit Maula Jatt, with a screenplay by Bilal Lashari and lines by Nasir Adeeb, starring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Ali Azmat, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Humaima Malick and Faris Shafi.

Nadeem Mandviwalla of Mandviwalla Entertainment, who is renowned for his contribution to cinema, oversees distribution. Moviegoers Entertainment will release the film internationally.
