Birmingham: Women Empowering Women (WEW) showcased their exhibition “Forgotten voices of Birmingham” today at St Peters College. The project was funded by HLF and the group collected stories from people born in the 30s 40s and 50s. The stories were then displayed along with memorabilia and shown to the local community. Project manager Snouber Sharif said. “Working and Coordinating this project has been a very emotional journey. The older generation have made so much sacrifices to make life the way it is today. As a community we have learnt so much from these stories. We have so much to thank the older generation for.
