The grand launch of the Global Centre of Excellence in Sustainability and the Social Value in Transport Research event

Birmingham: The grand launch of the Global Centre of Excellence in Sustainability and the Social Value in Transport Research event, took place at Birmingham Innovation Hub, ICentrum, Holt Street in Birmingham.

The event was hosted and Chaired by Fajli Bibi, Absolute Risk Technology’s Business Director, and Co-Founder of the Global Center of Excellence in Sustainability, as well as the Industry Lead on Circular Economy Social Value in Transport. Fajli Bibi delivered a welcome speech to the distinguished guests and provided an introduction to the organisation’s vision, mission, objectives, and agenda. Dr. Ebe Weli elaborated on the Global Centre of Excellence for Sustainability Innovation Projects and Research.

Additionally, a panel for questions and answers on circular economy and social value in transport research was formed. Al-Amin Dabo, the Head of Faculty at the University of Northampton and a CESVIT research partner, served as the moderator. Panelists included Robert Davies, Director of Arup; Marcelle Batson, Warner KTP Associate at the University of Warwick and CESVIT research partner; Darren Gee, Net Zero Technology Programme Manager; and Nicola Small, VLR Regional Program Director of Transport for West Midlands, who answered various questions. Andy Street CBE, the Mayor of West Midlands, formally inaugurated the Global Centre of Excellence in Sustainability by cutting the cake. On this occasion, Fajli Bibi extended sincere thanks to the Andy Street the Mayor of West Midlands, Sponsors CENTS, Bruntwood and Absolute Risk Technology, distinguished guests from Industry, Academia and Government bodies.
