Coventry: British Organisation for People of Asian-origin in collaboration with Consulate General of India and Canal & River Trust celebrated 8th International YOGA Day 2022 at the most picturesque venue – Canal Basin in Coventry
Trained YOGA teachers – Mrs Nutan Desai and Dr Manjit Rehal raised awareness about importance of yoga and its positive effects on human health to Participants from all ages, who brought their own YOGA mats.
People with mobility problems were provided chairs. Many faith and community leaders also be supported this event. Mr Brijesh Kumar Vice Consul from Consulate General of India, Councillor Roger Baily, Mr Jonathan Wing Chief from Big Clean up, Mr Nick Cleaver from Canal & River Trust were also present. Mr Alan Dyer and Mrs Alison Lambert, Directors of Canal Basin Trust took part and Alison announced the launch of Construction work on Community Peace Garden to be developed with the funds received as Gold Award from Severn Trent Water Authority.
