London: Justice for Kashmir Leyton and Wanstead Constituency Labour Party public meeting was held at the Leytonstone Methodist Church hall, High Road Leytonstone. Organised by Labour party leyton and wanstead. Chaired by Lizzy Ali Vice chair of Leyton and wanstead Labour Party. The aims of the event was to spread the awareness of the Kashmir conflict and ongoing human right violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir. The keynote speakers were John Cryer MP who’s Message was red out by Ray Goodspeed as he couldn’t attend, Uzma Rasool Youth Officer, Dr Misfar Hassan President Jammu and Kashmir Liberation League, Rana Shama Nazir Chairperson British Kashmiri Women’s council and Abdul Majid Waltham Forest Council of Mosques. They expressed their views and stated that the Labour party is not against Indians or Pakistanis and respects all parties involved but against the human rights violation in any part of the world. They said Kashmir is not a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan but it’s a international human rights issue not for the few but the many. Meeting was followed by a public question and answer session.
