Birmingham: Kal’s Community Projects’ barbecue and family fun day saw a great turnout from volunteers, service users, and local families.
The event featured face painting, bouncy castles, and a variety of stalls. The afternoon began with KCP talks, where director Kal highlighted the organisation’s achievements and the positive impact it has had on young people and adults over the past few years. He also expressed gratitude to the KCP volunteers, presenting certificates to acknowledge their dedication. Guest speaker Rachel Chambers gave an insightful talk on knife crime awareness, followed by an inspiring message to the youth from Mohammed Mustafa Khuro, the West Midlands Youth Police Crime Commissioner.
The event also showcased a beautiful live music performance by Khadija Dil Nawaz, which was enjoyed by everyone, along with music from DJ Sam. Mr. Handsworth MBE got the crowd, including the kids, moving with his energetic dance performance. Snacks and drinks were available throughout the day, and the barbecue at the end was a hit with everyone.
