Brent: Kashmir Development Foundation, in collaboration with the NHS, is encouraging people to be wise and Immunise as vaccination is our best protection.
The winter vaccine literacy campaign “Be Wise, immunise” encourages the members of British Kashmiri, South Asian and other diverse communities to get their flu and COVID-19 vaccines to reduce the risk of serious illness in colder months.
Kashmir Development Foundation has organised a vaccine literacy and community engagement event in Brent. On this occasion, information leaflets about MMR and flue vaccine leaflets were distributed outside Brent Central Mosque, and an informative workshop was organized at the Pakistan Community Centre.
Sardar Aftab Khan Excusive Director Kashmir Development Foundation and Krishna Chapman clinical lead of the LONDON NORTH WEST UNIVERSITY HEALTHCARE NHS Trust provided essential information about Vaccines and how they work to the members of British Kashmiri, South Asian and other members of the communities. KDF volunteers distributed over 500 information leaflets with essential information about flu, adult, and children’s vaccines in Pahari, Urdu, and English language. They also signposted community members to information and help available from the NHS on this occasion.
Former Mayor London Borough of Brent Councillor Arshad Mahmood, Former Councillor Mohammed Aslam Ch, Councillor Tariq Dar, Ch Mohammed Azeem Former Chairman All parties international Kashmir Coordination Committee UK, Maqsood Sheikh, Ashraf Chaughtai, Barrister Malik Mohammed Nazir, Laiq Ali Khan, Adeel Khan and others were also present there.
