Miss Black Country crowned at Walsall Manor Hospital!

Birmingham: Alice Jones ,a 26 year old paramedic from Walsall was crowned Miss Black Country 22 at Walsall Manor Hospital this week!

The official crowning was done by Miss Isobel Lines the outgoing queen before Alice proudly represents the Black Country at the Miss England 22 final next Monday!

Alice won the title back in August at the Miss England 22 semi final , but both ladies have been busy with their jobs since they haven’t been unable to meet up since ! Alice works full time as a paramedic and Isobel works as a teacher .

Taking a few hours off from her work after working long night shifts to meet up with the outgoing queen Isobel Lines  , Alice has  also been volunteering with the WASUP campaign WORLD AGAINST SINGLE USE PLASTIC who’s founder is based is based in Walsall.

Prof A Rashid Gatrad OBE Founder of WASUP is a Member of the Climate Change Committee of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health . Rashid will be selecting the Wasup 2022 Queen at the Miss England 22 final after the watching the Ethical fashion show and all the recycling efforts made by the contestants . 

 All finalists are invited to create an outfit made from recycled materials or wear something stylish on the catwalk with a fashion theme from the last 7 decades . 

Alice has already the final 3 in the Miss England sportsground after a Penalty shoot out at LCFC training ground decided on the winner and is hoping to win the Miss England crown which leads to the 71st Miss World which champions Beauty with a Purpose .

The Miss England 2 day final sponsored by Dentakay Dental Clinic takes place at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport on the 16th & 17th October .

Alice is one of 30 contestants to make it to the national final from across England.
