London: The Miss London 22 final sponsored by Cetuem Cosmetics was held at the Hotel Rafayel on World Environment day. The hotel is famed for being one of the world’s first ecology aware hotels. They pioneered the use of energy efficient lighting, air conditioning and heat recovery in the very early days of the hotel design.
Anjali Sinha (23) a Drug Discovery Scientist won the crown & a place in the Miss England national final. In the Ethical fashion round, Anjali wore an outfit which was sourced from Oxfam . Anjali has always been interested in Jane Austin books and wanted to depict the fashion from that era.
Anjali is already an ambassador for WASUP LONDON promoting the World Against Single Use Plastic campaign since 2021.
In the Ethical fashion round of the contest , the brief was to create an outfit from recycled clothing or previously re-used materials that they would feel happy to wear at a royal garden party .
To celebrate the queens platinum jubilee, the 12 finalists wore beautiful red, white and blue evening wear from To The Nines for the catwalk on the final catwalk .Anjali looked stunning in the white fitted gown on the red carpet for the judges.
In the lead up to the competition final , contestants were encouraged to raise funds for Papyrus , the young suicide prevention charity .Anjali raised over £1,011 by doing a zip line for charity on England’s longest zipline which is 720 metres long.
“I am very scared of heights but because I was raising funds for an amazing cause I believed I could do it and did! “
Additional rounds in the contest included the Bare face round where contestants where encouraged to promote a photo of themselves make up free to promote Natural Beauty for Cetuem Cosmetics, won by Politics student Melisa Raouf (20) who wins a place in the Miss England semi final.
Another round in Miss London was to create a vlog for social media from a London bus tour arranged by City Sightseeing to promote London’s highlights. The vlogging round was won by 21 year old Emily Cossey from Chelsea who also managed to raise over £3,120 in the Beauty with a Purpose round for Papyrus by cycling 91km visiting 45 train stations around London! Emily , sponsored by Jigsaw on line was the first contestant on the night to be announced as a Miss England 22 national finalist also going through to the National final in October .
Qualifying for the Miss England semi final in August is First runner up was Pagan – Lily a 25 year old Program manager sponsored by Fluid London who has previously contributed to women’s rights and legislation. Pagan-Lilley did a sky dive and raised over £2,733.
2nd runner up was Sepal Dawed a 26 year old Student Midwife sponsored by Love Sounds Records who revealed to the judges how she and her family became homeless earlier this year . Sepal managed to raise £147 for Papyrus. Collectively the contestants raised over £8,000 using the Beauty with a Purpose Ethos.
Judges included the current Miss England Rehema Muthamia , celebrity photographer Alan Strutt , International hairstylists Dar , Andria Vassilou CEO of Cetuem Cosmetics & Alan Enfield Entrepreneur & the reigning Miss London Jessica Kang did her final walk for the supporters before crowning her successor.

The grand final of Miss England takes place on October 17th at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Coventry sponsored by Dentakay Dental Clinic where a winner will be selected for the 71st Miss World final.
