Muslim Hands ‘The Big Aid Convoy Send-off Ceremony Nottingham, UK

Birmingham: Muslim Hands participates annually in supporting a huge aid convoy to the Syrian refugees based around the Turkish border. Around 80 trucks were loaded with 26 tonnes of rice per container and dispatched for homeless Syrian refugees around the Turkish border from the Head office quarters of Muslim Hands in Nottingham. These containers will be distributed by volunteers of the coalition of Red Crescent for Syrian refugees in Turkey. The Big Convoy of Aid was given a ceremonial send-off at the Muslim Hands Head office. The chief guests were Ayyaz Hussain Tunio Prosecutor General Sindh, Pakistan and Lord Mayor of Nottingham. It was presided by Pir Syed Lakhte Hassnain. The keynote speakers were Dr. Musharraf Hussain and leaders of the volunteer team. They expressed their views and appreciated the work of Muslim Hands. At the ceremony, they presented awards to the political, social and religious leaders who helped the aid collections for Muslim Hands all around the United Kingdom.
