National Management Course group visits the High Commission

A nine-member group of senior civil servants presently attending the National Management Course (NMC) at the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, visited the Pakistan High Commission London on 08 May 2018. Led by Mr Azmat Ali Ranjha, Rector NSPP, the group is currently on a study tour of the UK.

Welcoming the group, H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, the High Commissioner, briefed the officers on Pakistan-UK relations and the role of Pakistan High Commission in furthering these ties. He said that both the countries historically and traditionally enjoy robust relations which have become even stronger in recent years.

The group was apprised of the positive contribution of Pakistani diaspora towards UK’s national life, especially their emerging role in the British politics as manifested in the recent local elections.

The course participants were informed about High Commission’s community outreach programme and efforts to correct perception of the country abroad through various cultural and social activities. In this regard, the High Commissioner particularly mentioned the year-long activities organized by the High Commission to celebrate 70th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan in 2017.

Mr Azmat Ali Ranjha, Rector NSPP thanked the High Commission for extending facilitation in organizing the visit and coordinating the meetings and briefings at the distinguished British institutions for the group.

The delegation was later hosted over a dinner.

During their UK tour, the course participants will visit prestigious British institutions and attend meetings and briefings by expert professionals and senior managers in diverse fields and acquaint themselves with the latest administrative practices at British institutions.

The National School of Public Policy (NPSS) Lahore is a premier institution for the study of public policy, management and related research & analysis in Pakistan with the objective of improving the quality of pre and in-service training and education of all those engaged in public service.
