High Commissioner assures NUST of support in forging international collaborations

H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK has assured National University of Science and Technology (NUST), of all possible support in forging educational collaborations with UK’s academic institutions. He said this at a community event jointly organised by the High Commission and World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP) on 11 July 2018.

In his welcome remarks, the High Commissioner commended the academic excellence demonstrated by NUST across various disciplines and research areas. He also appreciated the dynamic leadership of the Rector.

In his address on the occasion, Lt Gen (R) Naweed Zaman HI (M), Rector National University of Science and Technology (NUST), shed light on salient features, international collaborations and important achievements of NUST. He shared with the audience that within a short span of 27 years, the institution has expanded exponentially and is awarding degrees in a number of academic disciplines. According to QS World University Ranking, NUST is among the top 500 educational institutions, added the Rector. The NUST delegation is on a visit to the UK to introduce the NUST to the community and establish linkages with the top UK universities.

A large number of business persons, entrepreneurs, professionals, academics and media persons attended the event and expressed their support to the initiatives of NUST.
