Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, at Clarence House in London today. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Ali Jahangir Siddiqui, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Syed Ibne Abbas, High Commissioner.
The Prime Minister felicitated the Prince of Wales on UK’s successful holding of the CHOGM 2018. He hoped that the Commonwealth under the UK’s Chair-in-Office would be revitalized and its role in the changing global geopolitical and economic scenario would enhance.
The Prime Minister highlighted the contributions made by the Pakistani Diaspora in the economic prosperity of the UK and its role in bringing the two countries closer. He also appreciated the UK’s assistance in health and education sectors of Pakistan.
He invited Prince Charles to visit Pakistan at his convenience.
HRH Prince Charles thanked Pakistan for its high level participation in the CHOGM 2018. He also commended Pakistan’s valuable contribution to the Commonwealth. The Prince of Wales appreciated the political leadership of Pakistan in ensuring good governance and efforts in implementing the economic reforms.
