An awards night organised by Roshni Birmingham was held at Tipu Sultan, Birmingham

Birmingham: An awards night organised by Roshni Birmingham was held at Tipu Sultan, Dr. Sarwat Sohail, Chief Executive Roshni Birmingham, introduced the program highlighting purpose and objectives.

Awards were presented to women who have rendered outstanding services associated with various organisations and institutions. Dr. Sarwat Sohail and other speakers said that Black and Minoritised services continue to deliver excellent frontline services with very limited resources, but they receive little recognition for the hard work they undertake.

Roshni has always worked towards empowering individuals/’by and for‘ organisations to access opportunities including recognition for the exceptional services they provide. The aim of the awards is to raise the credibility of an organisation and increase visibility of the great work they do. To empower and encourage communities to take a more active role in supporting one another. Various artists like Usman Farooqui, Apache India and others entertained the participants by performing their art.
