Coventry: The Vishwa Shanti Chandi Maha Yagya two day Prayers to Mother Goddess Chandi Durga for World Peace and stability event was held at the Shree Mahanand Dham Windmill Road Longford, Coventry.
The aim of the event is to remove evil and negativity and spread peace, love, and harmony within ourself and all over the world.
The event was hosted by Pandit Ravi Bhushan. The chief guest was the Dr. Rakesh Sachdev, President British Organisation for People of Asian Origin UK BOPA.
Also present were religious, political, social leaders and members of the different faith communities. The event included religious singing, divine prayers, Abhishek, Havan and Indian traditional dance.
Shree Mahanand Dham’s organisers also gave gifts to children who chanted Jai Mata Di.
Narri Shakti organisation ladies performed melodious devotional Bhajans. Aarti, Bhog and Parsad was distributed at the end of the ceremony followed by vegetarian feast, bhandara.
Performing religious prayers was spearheaded by Acharya Pandit Ravi Bhushan accompanied by Pandit Umesh Vyas and Pandit Mahesh Maharishi.
Shree Mahanand Dham thanked sponsors Usha Rishi, USA, Dr. Rakesh Sachdev, Uttam Singh Rawat, Standard Sweet Centre, Lions Club members Anita Bedi and Surinder Dhillon and all donors and volunteers for making this a blissful and successful event.
