Midland: Sobiay Abaya London hosted its annual Grand Iftar program at Smethwick Jamia Masjid, welcoming friends, family, newly arrived immigrant students, and the local community from Birmingham and surrounding areas.
Approximately 500 guests were served a variety of delicious dishes, including biryani, kheer, mocktails, juices, desserts, and snacks. As a special gesture, each guest received a printed photo as a keepsake.
The event reflected unity and diversity, with attendees from different ethnicities, religions, and professions, including university students, doctors, families, models, makeup artists, journalists, and photographers. Children had the opportunity to experience the spiritual and communal beauty of an Islamic gathering, learning about togetherness and hospitality.
The evening concluded with Taraweeh prayers, offering attendees a chance for worship and reflection. The organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the esteemed guests who attended from near and far.
