Q: According to reports, the “Islamic State” has claimed responsibility for a suicide blast on July 13 at a political rally in Mastung, a district in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which left 128 people dead and more than 200 injured. What is your comment?

A: The Chinese side is deeply shocked by this attack. We strongly condemn it. We extend our deep condolences to the victims and sympathies to the injured and bereaved families. China is opposed to all forms of terrorism. We firmly support the unremitting efforts made by the Pakistani government and people to combat terrorism and safeguard national stability and people’s safety.
