Mr Naqshbandi said: “As the world is grappling with COVID-19 pandemic, India in systematic way is brutalising the Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir.
May 29, 2009 Shopian rape and murder case refers to the abduction, gang rape and murder of two two young women, Asiya (17) and her sister-in-law Neelofar (22), married to Shakeel Ahmad Ahanger, by Indian armed forces when they were returning home from their family orchard in Nagbal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian. On the next day, they were found dead at Bongam,Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. There has been no justice despite findings by Jan Commission.
People of Occupied Jammu Kashmir and family of Asiya and Neelofar are still waiting for fair trail and demanding that the persons involved in this ‘heinous’ crime should be brought to books.
The Armed Force (Special Powers) Act provides legal immunity to Indian armed forces for their actions and this situation has drastically increased human right violations in Occupied Kashmir.

The world community must hold India accountable for its crimes in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir Mr Naqshbandi, Convener APHC demanded.
