Coventry: The Annual Vishwa Shanti Chandi Maha Yagya 2020 World Peace Festival prayers to Mother Goddess Durga was held “ONLINE” this year at Shree Mahanand Dham, Windmill Road Longford, Coventry on July 10 till July 12 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Hosted by Acharya Pandit Ravi Bhushan, this year prayers were specially for the well being of all affected by Corona Virus, and for all the medical staff, volunteers and others on the front lines dealing with this pandemic in UK and around the world.Everyone joined in Kirtan glorifying Goddess and prayed to Goddesses Maa Durga Mother of the Universe and Maa Kali to help and bless everyone with strength, courage to do right by self and others, wisdom, good health, prosperity, and with a spirit to live life in accordance with Hindu beliefs, promoting peace within us and the world around us. Havan & Yagya – an offering was made into a consecrated fire using herbs and ingredients that purify the environment and chanting of religious Mantras for blessings of Goddess Mother Durga was performed on the third day of the event. This three day event was seen online by devotees from USA, Europe, India and many other countries. Joining Acharya Pandit Ravi Bhushan in person were a couple of Hindu Scholars, family and friends from the local Hindu community seated following strict Covid – 19 guidelines.
