LAHORE – Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President Fahim Kayani called on the Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman at Governor House.
Lauding the role of Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora around the world who have been at the forefront to raise awareness on Kashmir issue, Rehman reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering stand on the Kashmir issue.
In his comments during the meeting, Kayani pointed out need for mobilization among the youth in Pakistan.
“Pakistanis are the frontliners in defending Kashmiri right to self-determination and it is incumbent upon people, especially youth, to remain updated about what is happening in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” Kayani said.
As head of all Punjab-based universities, Kayani suggested that the governor hold conferences on Kashmir in Pakistan’s biggest province.
While Punjab administration has been holding Kashmir-specific programs, Kayani suggested a Kashmir program “Kashmir key Azadi baqi hey, Takmeel e Pakistan Baqi hey.”
