DFP aghast over killing of youth, use of brute force against mourners by Indian troops
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has condemned in strong terms the new spate of violence and killing of innocent youth by Indian forces in Indian occupied Kashmir terming it as a worst kind of state terrorism.
The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar while paying rich tributes to seven youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Shopian and Pulwama districts expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
Lauding the sacrifices of the youth the spokesman said that Indian state terrorism would not deter Kashmiris from pursuing their long cherished goal for which they have offered unprecedented sacrifices.
The spokesman also took a strong exception to the use of brute force on Muharram processions and indiscriminate pellet gun firing on mourners in Srinagar, Budgam and other areas of the valley. Terming it as a violation of the fundamental rights of the people he said that the incidents of violence taking place in the region serve as an eye-opener for the international community that has been watching the situation in the region as a silent spectator.
