Coventry: The one day Prayers to Mother Goddess Chandi for World Peace was held at the Indian community center, Coventry. The aim of the event was to remove evil and negativity from the life of humanity and spread peace , promote harmony and love for all over the world. It was hosted by Pandit Ravi Bhushan. The guest of honour were deputy Lord Mayor Telford Rajesh Mehta, Davinder Prasad President Coventry Lions Club, Rakesh Sachdev President BOPA, Anita Bedi District Lions Club, Lady Godiva, Councillor Ram Lakha Former Lord Mayor of Coventry and Former Mayor of Rugby Ramesh Srivastva, Barrister Rajesh Rai. Also present were religious, political, social leaders and members of the Hindu, Sikh and Muslim community. The event included religious singing, spiritual prayers ‘Hawan’ and an afternoon of cultural events – presentation of Sanatan Dharma way of life, a children’s art competition and prizes, traditional dance followed by a hearty feast and cake in celebration of the 10th annual festival.
