The 4th Annual Grand Health Convention of the APPNE took place at the prestigious ICC venue in Birmingham
Birmingham: The 4th Annual Grand Health Convention of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of Northern Europe (APPNE), a highly active organization of Pakistani doctors based in the UK, took place at the prestigious ICC venue in Birmingham, the second largest and central city of the United Kingdom.
The event commenced with an exciting live cricket match between Pakistan and India. Throughout the convention, a variety of programs were organised, focusing on public health, academics, education, information, entertainment, and awareness. Families of doctors from different fields and young doctors from across the UK actively participated in these events.
Additionally, a captivating fashion show was held, featuring both white and Asian models showcasing stunning dresses, innovative designs, and jewelry, which drew significant interest from both men and women.
The event also included the presentation of awards to former presidents, Dr. Irfan Akhtar, Dr. Amir Burney, former general secretary, Dr. Shabi Ahmed, and Dr. Jamila Shahid, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the organisation. The renowned Pakistani artist, Ali Azmat, from the Jazba e Junoon Group, delivered an outstanding performance, elevating the convention to a new level and adding to the appreciation for the dedication of the doctors and their families.
The event also featured reviews from designated officials and leaders of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of Northern Europe, including President Dr. Aamir Khan, General Secretary Dr. Nadeem Sajjad Raja, Dr Sohail Qureshi Joint Secretary, Dr. Ayesha Sharif Finance Secretary, Dr. Kamla Haider Social Secretary, and others, who presented reports highlighting the performance of various departments within the organization. These reports covered various aspects, such as sports, finance, and social media, along with discussions of future plans.
The convention concluded with a delicious and enjoyable dinner, appreciated by doctors and distinguished guests who had traveled from near and far to attend.
