London: On November 8, 2023, the Sindh Premier League delegation from Pakistan undertook a comprehensive visit to the historic British Parliament. During this visit, they formally observed the proceedings of both the British House of Lords and House of Commons. The delegation, comprising CEO SPL Chaudhry Shahzad Akhtar, President SPL Arif Malik, Jahanzeb Alam, Irfan Waheed, Aamir Siddiqui, Ghulam Hussain, Nasir Iqbal, and others, engaged with members of the British House of Lords, including Lord Qurban Hussain and Wajid Khan, as well as members of the British Parliament and Shadow Minister for Justice Afzal Khan. The bilateral meeting encompassed crucial discussions regarding the future of Pakistan-UK relations and cricket. Arif Malik, the head of the delegation, stated that agreements would be forged with various cricket leagues and organisations in the UK to enhance the activity and quality of the Kashmir and Sindh Premier League. The aim is to provide more opportunities for Pakistani players on the international stage. During this interaction, Lord Qurban Hussain expressed high appreciation for the enthusiasm and exceptional services rendered by the officials and assistants of the Sindh Premier League in promoting sports.
