A Pakistani Urdu Film Showcasing in UK Cinemas on Eid

Multicultural UK & Big Screen Distribution proudly announce the UK Eid release of BABYLICIOUS in cinemas nationwide.

A romantic comedy film directed and produced by Essa Khan and Waqar Zaka under the banner Coconut Entertainment. It stars former couple Shahroz Sabzwari and Syra Yousuf, alongside Bollywood’s Ankur Rathee. The movie is ex-couples’ first time out on the big screen after their separation.

BABYLICIOUS was earlier released in Pakistan to an overwhelmingly positive reception from critics.

Praise from Movie Critics

The film received a number of positive reviews upon its release in Pakistan and several notable publications wrote features on it, earning it universal acclaim. Majorly critics praised the work of the director, Essa Khan. “Shahroz and the ear-catching dialogues, are the glue that bind Essa’s uncomplicated, routine love story, that’s anted-up as a near-excellent motion picture … heralds the arrival of a bright young filmmaker,”

wrote Dawn (newspaper). The roles of the lead cast were also lauded by other publications including The Tribune.

Premise

A hopeless romantic takes on the world to stop his ex-girlfriend’s wedding and reignite true love.

Album

The film album is primarily composed by Adrian David.
Pop culture website Something Haute hailed the first single, titled “Mann Ranjhan”, “a memorable addition to the list of melodious love songs from Pakistani films.” The music video of the second single, titled “Ghazab Kurriye” (vocals by Jonita Gandhi) made waves back home for its production design, costumes and choreography with more than one publication labelling it the wedding anthem of the year.

“My cinematic opus is 2 hours long but it took me years to make. I sold my family home, a place filled with cherished memories, just to secure 15 more days of filming.
