Kashmiris observe Right to Self Determination Day today
Walsall: Right to Self- Determination Day will be observed tomorrow on 5th January 2018, by the Kashmiri diaspora and People of state of Jammu & Kashmir all over the world. They will observe this day with a pledge to continue their liberation struggle till it reaches its ultimate goal.It was on 5th January 1949 when the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution supporting the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves through UN-sponsored plebiscite. Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement (JKSDME) organized a program today at Lal Haveli Resurgent Walsall, chaired by Chairman Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement Europe (JKSDME) Raja Najabat Hussain. During his address he said that more than 100 thousands of kashmiri people have lost their lives in the freedom movement of Kashmir. On this occasion MEP Anthea Mcintyre said that We celebrated last week of October as Kashmir week in EU and we cannot forget the human rights violations in Kashmir. She added further that we are arranging Jammu Kashmir visit as soon as possible for an independent observation. Kiran Dar MNA said We want to see Kashmir be a part of Pakistan. The program was ended with the prayer for the Shuhda e Jammu & Kashmir who sacrificed their lives for the freedom. Many other political and religious leaders were present at this event.Councillor Khizer Hussain Qadri, Qaiser Shahzad, Javed Qadir, Haji Abdul Khaliq Qadri, Haji Ashraf, Haji Liaqat, Mohammed Nazir, Haji Shaukat Ali, Haroon Nazir, Rashid Iqbal, Kashif Bashir, Mohammed Arshad, Abid Hussain, Haji Imtiaz, Master Farooq, Mohammed Saeed, Mohammed Azeem, Ejaz Jamshed, Mohammed Bashir, Mohammed Hanif, Mohammed Rafique, Raja Abdul Qayyum and others attended this event.
