One Day without us’ celebrated at Ort Gallery Birmingham, UK
Birmingham: 1 Day without us’ is a day nationally marked as a day to celebrate the contribution of migrants into the country.The event was organized in partnership between Hope not Hate, Near Neighbours, The Ort Gallery and Right 2 work.The programme comprised of spoken poetry by Amina Atiq, a short talk by Salma Zulfiqar, an artist & an activist who has worked with UN all over the world, a speech on Asylum support and immigration by Dave Stamp, a talk by Rafiq Saleh Nasir on Charity walk for peace, working towards peace, harmony and tolerance within communities.The event ended with singing and entertainment.also were attended Abdullah Rehman Coordinator Tell Mama West Midlands, Fred Jonny Cob Rattley, Jessica Foster, Mahmooda Qureshi, Rabia Altaf, Mohammed Ali, Peter From Amnesty International, Elena Remigi, Anusha Udumula, Tony Adams, Shazma Javed and many others.
