Aghosh UK launches a charitable campaign in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, UK, supporting Ghaza
London: The charity appeal, conducted in collaboration with renowned British charity Aghosh UK, Pakistan’s reliable Organisations Al-Khidmat Foundation, and the dynamic Palestinian doctors’ group Palestine International Medical Aid, took place in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Overseas Pakistanis, Kashmiris, and individuals with a shared humanity expressed their support for the basic needs of Gaza’s people. During the events, Aghosh UK Chairman Dr. Adeel Riaz, Co-Founder Raja Fahim Kayani, CEO Abid Hussain, Shaykh Haytham Tamim, Prominent fundraiser Habib Malik and leaders of Palestine International Medical Aid, Dr Abdul Kadir Hamaad, Dr Haitham Hamdan, and Dr Ahmed Sabra, shed light on the dire situation in Gaza.
The heartbreaking statistics revealed over 14,000 Palestinians martyred, 35,000 injured, and 1.7 million displaced according to the Gaza Ministry of Health and the United Nations. Critical operations were reported without anesthesia, thousands of children lost limbs, and women faced perilous childbirth.
A surge in the death rate since the war was emphasized. A priority appeal was made for medical kits, trauma kits, emergency medicine, ambulances, clean water, and food to save lives in Gaza. Highlighting Gaza’s 17-year siege, with over 40 percent of the population being children, speakers stressed the need for prolonged rehabilitation and financial support to bring the region out of destruction. Urging for generosity, they called for assistance to help Gaza’s people reclaim life and hope through donations.
