Birmingham: A memorable and spectacular Eid Millan Party was organised by the All Pakistan Women’s Association Birmingham at Regents Park Banqueting hall.

It was hosted by the Chairperson APWA Birmingham Riffat Mughal, General Secretary Adeela Parvez and the team. While on this occasion Lord Mayor of Birmingham Mrs. Maureen Cornish, Deputy Lord Mayor Councilor Shafique Hussain Shah and Consul of Pakistan Consulate Birmingham Bukhtawar Mir participated as special guests.

The ceremony was officially started by recitation of Holy Quran by well-known Photojournalist and Director World News Network UK S M Irfan Tahir. Chairperson APWA Birmingham Riffat Mughal and Adeela Pervez gave a detailed briefing about the activities and programs of their 6-year tenure while explaining the aims objectives and background of their organisation.

On this occasion Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councilor Maureen Cornish and Ambassador of Pakistan and Daughter of Kashmir Bakhtawar Mir highly appreciated APWA Birmingham for organising a memorable program and highlighted the effective role of women in the improvement and reformation of a society.

On this occasion, the well-known family Qawwal Sohail Salamat, from London, entertained the participants immensely by demonstrating his art and special performance. The women praised Sohail Salamat Qawwal and the party on Qawwali Sufiana Kalam and ghazals.

On this occasion, well-known political, social and business personalities of Birmingham, Raja Mahmood Khan, owner of Midlands Catering and Takeaway, Zahid Bhatti, head of the well-known welfare organisation Feedo Needo and Scholar School System, Abdullah Mushtaq, Chaudhry Abdul Moid, Moeed Travel and Money Transfer. Director Paradise Banqueting Hall Nasir Khan, Asad Gondal, Ozzy restaurant, Raja Shahnawaz Kayani, Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal, RJ Hassan were present and hundreds of other women participated.
