Another controversial Eid at Pakistan Consulate Birmingham

Birmingham: The Pakistani Consulate in Britain is responsible for maintaining a positive image of Pakistan in Britain. Yet the recent Eid Party held at the Birmingham Branch was very poorly organised and unprofessional. The event was meant to commence at 4.00 but did not actually start until 7.00. There was much disappointment about the poor time management amongst guests who had arrived in a timely manner. Furthermore the event may have been used to positively promote the many talented ladies of Pakistani heritage currently residing in Birmingham, rather than concentrating on promoting merely just one lady from Birmingham. Unfortunately this was a wasted opportunity to use this platform in a more constructive manner.Such poor management and use of the consulate is questionable and damaging to the role of the Pakistani Consulate in Britain and is a matter that is worth addressing.Coverage By S M Irfan Tahir Photojournalist National Union of Journalists (NUJ) Great Britain.
