The Kashmiri leadership strongly condemns attack on the Derby Gurdwara
Derby: Patron in Chief All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee Mufti Hafiz Fazal Ahmed Qadri, President Tehreek e Kashmir UK Raja Fahim Kayani and Mohammed Ghalib President Tehreek e Kashmir Europe have strongly condemned the attack on a Sikh Gurdwara in Derby.
In a media statement they offered their full sympathy and support to the Sikh community from the whole of the Kashmiri and Pakistani community in the UK.
They said although people of Kashmir are suffering in the hands of Indian army but the Sikh community in the UK has nothing to do with it. They said anybody who has committed this horrible act does not represent Kashmiri and Pakistanis at all.
They reiterated the fact that UK is a great country where communities are living peacefully, respecting each other’s rights and co-operating amongst themselves however it is needed and is possible.
Everybody has freedom of worship according to their beliefs and enjoys the freedom in this country. But nobody has any right to stop people of any belief from going to their place of worship and in this sense attack on a Sikh Gurdawara is a heinous crime. and we hope that this is the last such horrible act that has happened.
Leaders of the Kashmiri and Pakistani community from Derby have condemned the attack on the Sikh Temple in Derby in the strongest possible words. Yahya Akhter , Caoudhry Mohammed Farooq, Choudhry Mohammed Azam, Abdul Rehman Bhagri, Gulzar Ahmed and others offered their full support to the Sikh Community.
They stated that the communities are living in this great country with complete harmony and peace. They said our Sikh brothers and sisters should not feel alone, everybody in the community is standing shoulder to shoulder with them. They stated that everybody in the community is saddened by this horrible act and any anyone who has committed this crime does not represent us.
