AAC paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Masjid Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed on his 16th martyrdom anniversary
Srinagar: Awami Action Committee (AAC) paid rich tributes to its member and sociopolitical activist Shaheed-e-Masjid Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed on his 16th martyrdom anniversary. The organisation in a statement said that the commemorative function by the organisation to pay tribute him could not take place to in wake coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic restrictions . Besides,Awami Action committee patron and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continues to be under arbitrary house detention since 5th August last year.
Jammu Kashmir Awami Action committee appealed people to pray for magfirah for Shaheed e Masjid and all martyrs of Kashmir struggle since 1931.
AAC said that late Mushtaq was an extremely kind and compassionate soul, who helped the poor and needy in all manner throughout his life . And throughout his life he believed in and strived for the party’s basic ideology of peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. He even bore the hardships of prison and interrogations in jail for his beliefs , when in October 1965 he along with shaheed e Millat was arrested and spend more than two years in jail.
