KVI condemns the heinous murder of Advocate Baber Qadri

London: In a statement issued, Kashmir Voice International (KVI) in London expressed deep shock on the criminal murder of advocate Baber Qadri in Srinagar. KVI condemns this heinous crime. This and similar murders earlier, since 1990, have been a question mark regarding the identification of these murderous actors. This is astonishing and highly disappointing on the part of the state and central governments for having proved neglectful to provide justice to such victims. Nothing has moved in the direction of finding out the people responsible for acts of murder of prominent leaders of Kashmir resulting in to the total loss of confidence and trust in the investigating agencies.

KVI demands immediate steps be taken for investigating the broad day murder of Baber Qadri in his home and similar other cases without further delay and identify the criminals termed as “Unidentified gunmen” People of Kashmir have failed to understand who these people are, to save whom, a deliberate term as “Unidentified gunmen” has been coined. They fail to understand why not justice has been done in such a single murder right from 1990 which justifies their distrust in the administration and investigating agencies. 

Kashmir cannot afford the further loss of precious lives and KVI strongly wishes an early exposure of such elements and the people who support and sustain them. 

KVI sends condolences to the family of Mr. Qadri and wishes his soul to rest in eternal peace. May Allah grant him place in Janatul-Firdoos.
