British Pakistani rising motorsport star meets the High Commissioner
Young British Pakistani Enaam Ahmed who is a rising motorsport star, met H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, the High Commissioner at his office on 9 August 2017, and shared his success stories with him.
Enaam is one of the brightest and most exciting young racing talents coming through the motorsport ladder, having already broken numerous records at just 17 years old. Ahmed, a BRDC (British Racing Drivers’ Club) Rising Star, is a British-born driver with Pakistani roots, who is the talk of the BRDC British Formula 3 paddock after he created history by becoming the youngest driver ever to win three races and set three fastest laps across a single British F3 race weekend at the 2017 season-opener.
The High Commissioner accorded the young talent a warm welcome at his office, terming him a role model for the youth. He appreciated his passion and dedication towards his goal of winning ‘Formula One’ title. The High Commissioner was particularly impressed by Enaam’s courage to take a different career path with full commitment. He also invited him to 14 August Flag Hoisting ceremony at the High Commission to be part of the independence celebrations.
Having dominated 2017 by picking up 10 wins, 14 podiums, 9 fastest laps and 6 pole positions in just 18 races, the Carlin driver holds a huge 106-point lead at the top of the championship standings. He bids to progress through single-seaters and achieve his career dreams in the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula One.
