Birmingham: COPE, Children of Pakistan Earthquake held a fabulous Sports Day and Barbecue event on Sunday 4th June. Families enjoyed the fun filled outdoor event at the Knowle and Dorridge Cricket Club in Solihull.
Over 200 people flocked to the sunny cricket ground, where an array of fun activities for both adults and children were hosted. Children were delighted to meet special guest Bobo the Clown.
The event had an amazing family vibe, with parents and kids cheering each other on in the various sports games and competitions that ran throughout the afternoon. The delicious barbecue proved to be a big hit, as expected. Everyone had such a great time and COPE volunteers worked hard to make the event run smoothly, showing what can be accomplished with teamwork.
COPE is a 17 year old Registered Charity that COPE provides comprehensive social welfare programs to help break the cycle of poverty in the poorest areas of Pakistan and its focal point is to provide water to those that need it.
The Sports Day and Barbecue event was a huge success, raising vital funds for COPE’s efforts while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that everyone could enjoy. It’s another shining example of how the charity leads the way internationally and locally in bringing people together by building a strong community spirit.
