Birmingham: Children of Pakistan Earthquake COPE held a Charity Barbecue Sports Day event for the 3rd year running at Knowle and Dorridge Cricket Ground on Sunday 24th August.
This annual event has become increasingly popular by the year as families come together to enjoy a relaxing, fun filled day out. The event featured exciting nostagic sports day races for all ages. The COPE Barbecue served delicious food and guests enjoyed browsing a great variety of stalls, making it a perfect day for everyone.
COPE lived up to their reputation and created a vibrant atmosphere with happy smiling faces, as adults and children enjoyed a jam packed day of fun and relaxation.
Founder of COPE, Nasrat Rafiq expressed her delight at yet another successful event and thanked her dedicated trustees and team of volunteers for their hard work in making the day a success. All of this wonderful activity was for a great cause — COPE remains a 100% charity dedicated to poverty relief projects across the whole of Pakistan. From health, housing, education, enterprise and much more to help break the cycle of poverty in Pakistan’s most deprived areas.
