Birmingham: A special Iftar dinner was hosted at the Royal Shalimar Hall in Birmingham, in collaboration with renowned charities such as Aghosh UK, Palestine International Medical Aid, Health Workers 4 Palestine, and the British Arab Nursing and Midwifery Association.
The event aimed to raise funds and support for the oppressed people of Gaza. British Imam and broadcaster Ajmal Masroor presided over the proceedings as the moderator. Dr. Adeel Riaz, Chairman of Aghosh UK, Dr. Shahnaz Alastal, a health professional from Gaza, Dr. Ayesha Sharif, Chair of Health Workers 4 Palestine Birmingham, along with other speakers, delivered speeches, shedding light on the current dire situation, circumstances, incidents, and needs of Gaza.
Funds were collected during the event to provide emergency food, medical aid, clean water supply, and other essential necessities for the oppressed citizens of Gaza. Aghosh UK arranged a sumptuous Iftar meal featuring Asian cuisine, fruits, and juices for the fasting attendees. The organisers expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests who had traveled from various parts of the UK to attend the event.
