Kashmir Development Foundation Vaccine Literacy Campaign event in Peterborough, UK

Peterborough: Kashmir Development Foundation in collaboration with the NHS is encouraging people to check their vaccination records. If there are any gaps, please book an appointment with your GP and complete your children and adults vaccination.

KDF has organised a Vaccine Literacy and community engagement event in Faizan-e-Madina Mosque. The City of Peterborough district of Cambridgeshire. Sajjad Hussain Secretary General Faizan-e-Madina Mosque, provided essential information about Vaccines and how they work to the members of British Kashmiri, South Asian and other members of the communities. Getting vaccinated can help to stop the spread of an infection.

If you have a young child and don’t know if they are up to date with their routine vaccinations, you can check their Personal Health Record (which is also known as the red book). Similarly adults can check their records by contacting the GP practice, If you or your children have missed a vaccination, contact GP practice or call 111 and visit www.nhs.uk/vaccinations to book your vaccination appointment. KDF volunteers distributed over 500 information leaflets with essential information about children and adults vaccines in Pahari, Urdu and English language.

They also signposted community members to information and help available from the NHS. On this occasion, Sardar Aftab Khan Executive Director Kashmir Development Foundation, Prominent Religious Scholar and Head Imam Faizan-e-Madina Mosque Peterborough Allama Mohammed Nawaz Hazarvi, Mufti Akhtar Mahmood Alvi Imam Faizan-e-Madina Mosque, A M Choudhuri Chairman Faizan-e-Madina Mosque and joint Mosques council of Peterborough, Hafiz Ubaid ur Rehman, Khalid Mahmood Junvy Senior Journalist and Writer, Raja Ejaz Ahmed Khan CEO Kashmir News and others were also present there.
