Demonstrations hit Birmingham-streets against arrest of Khurram Parvez

Birmingham: The illegal and extra-judicial arrest of globally recognized Kashmiri Human Rights defender Khurram Parvez triggered protests in busy street of the UK

Protestors assembled outside BBC office and urged international community to pressure India to release Khurram Parvez, the program coordinator of Srinagar-based Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS).

The protestors also castigated Indian fascist regime for committing genocide of innocent Kashmiris.

While addressing the protesters, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK , Fahim Kayani said “India’s terror-inflicting NIA raided house and office of Khurram on Nov. 22, 2021 in Srinagar and arrested him that evening and has been transferred to New Delhi for interrogation.”

Kayani further said it was hypocrisy of the international community to remain silent of war crimes committed by Indian fascist regime in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK).

Muhammad Ghalib , President of TeK Europe said “Arrest of a globally recognized face on human rights work is evidence that India is using war tactics to kill any voice that speaks for right to self-determination of Kashmiris,” Kayani said addressing the demonstrators.

Khawajah Muhammad Sulieman TeK UK said This is not arrest. It is illegal abduction by a fascist regime that does not respect international law,”

Ian Scott President of Trade Council Birmingham said “The credibility of international media is under watch if it ignores India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and the war crimes it commits in IIoJK,”

STWC Birmingham Branch Secretary General Stuart Richardson said “three Kashmiris were murdered by Indian forces in IIoJK on Wednesday evening and Eye witness accounts have exposed the Indian propaganda machinery which claims fighting armed rebels,”

Rana Rabnawaz President TeK West Midlands urged international media to depute special reporters to IIoJK to report from ground the grave situation.

Ch Ikram ul Haq Former Vice President TeK Spain said “Three innocents were brought into a car by Indian occupational forces, brought down from car at Rambagh area of Srinagar and killed after firing dozens of arms,”

“It is complete breakdown of any machinery or law that India claims to have applied to IIoJK,” Ikram ul Haq said.

Azam Farooq Sec Gen TeK Midlands Zone , Mushtaq Hussain, Naeem Khan, Shareen Raja, Mulana Saeed Ch Rasheed and Haris Kayani demanded “It is time UN and Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, hold India accountable and UN peace keeping forces are deployed to arrest massacre of Kashmiris committed by India,”
