A big step for additional facilitation in Counsellor Services for Pakistani Diaspora in UK

London: A big step for additional facilitation in Counsellor Services for Pakistani Diaspora in UK

– Pakistan High Commission London, after the approval of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad conducted a transparent competitive bidding process for provision of Consellor services to Pakistani Diaspora in UK.

– A stringent process, as per PPRA regulations, was followed in which locally (UK) registered companies participated in the bidding round.

– The entire selection processes took 4 months, with due diligence and fulfilling all regulatory requirements.

– Award of contract to M/s Gerry’s International will provide an additional facility to the applicants especially living in far-flung areas who cannot afford to visit High Commission London or its Consulates.

– It will save time and expenses of the applicants who otherwise would bear transpiration costs and time.

– Gerry’s International will make arrangements to provide these facilitation services on weekends also.

– Consellor services will continue to be provided, as per routine, by the High Commission London and Consulates in Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford & Glasgow.

– It is also important to note that the role of these facilitation centres is limited to the processing and data entry of passport applications, visa applications, NICOP applications, and the collection of documents for attestation.

– Powers of Attorney and all other services, including land-related matters, will be handled solely by the High Commission in London and its four Consulates.

– Decision making process on all applications would remain the sole prerogative of Government of Pakistan (may that be NADRA, IMPASS, MOFA, MOI or the Missions)
