Pakistan High Commission London to hold “Councillors Convention-2018” on 24 February 2018
The High Commission for Pakistan in London will hold the “Councillors Convention-2018” on Saturday, 24 February 2018. This is the 2nd Councillors Convention in London and is being organized after receiving positive feedback from the participants of the first Councillors Convention.
The purpose of the initiative is to further strengthen the bond with the Pakistani community in the United Kingdom and to celebrate their success in various walks of life. The Convention will also provide a common platform to the elected leadership of the British Pakistanis to exchange views and discuss ideas for the betterment of the community.
H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK will preside over the event.
Besides the inaugural session, the Convention will have two sessions and discussion will take place along the following themes:
1. Diaspora’s role in furthering Pakistan-UK relationship
2. Youth Engagement and Women Empowerment
The speakers will be a mix of MPs, Lords, Councillors/Mayors and experts from various walks of life.
The event will be held from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Royal Nawaab Restaurant, London UB6 8DW
Previously, similar Councillors Conventions have been organized at Bradford and Birmingham Consulates of Pakistan.
