Pakistan Navy Ship ZULFIQUAR departs Naval Base Portsmouth to participate in bilateral White Star Exercise

London: Pakistan Navy Ship ZULFIQUAR departed Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth, UK this morning to participate in Pakistan Navy – Royal Navy (PN-RN) bilateral White Star Exercise in British waters off the coast of England.
Exercise White Star aims at enhancing interoperability and learning from each other’s experiences on maritime security operations while demonstrating combined sea manoeuvres. Thereafter, the ship will set course to its next destination towards Baltic Sea.
The ship stayed at Portsmouth for two days. Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, Moazzam Ahmad Khan also visited the ship and received a briefing about the visit. He expressed well wishes to the Mission Commander and the crew of the ship. The High Commissioner hoped such visits would further strengthen Pakistan-UK defence, security and diplomatic ties.
