Pakistan Vs England Final One Day International

CARDIFF: Pakistan will play the fifth and final one-day international against England at Cardiff on Sunday to avoid a whitewash in the five-match series,England lead the five-match ODI series 4-0.The hosts won the first ODI at Southampton by 44 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method and went on to take a 2-0 lead in the series by winning the second game at Lord’s by four wickets.England sealed the series by winning the third match at Nottingham by a whooping 169 runs.

The side won the fourth ODI at Leeds by four wickets.Pakistan’s batting has not performed up to mark whereas the team has not managed to put a solid opening stand through out the tour.The bowling department failed to trouble the home side that much in the series as well.England have maintained their domination over the visitors with both the bat and ball.Pakistan is currently placed at No. 9 in the ODI rankings and it can get even more tough for the green shirts to directly qualify for the next edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2009 in England.Losing the series Pakistan team will now play for the honour in the fifth and final one-day international match.
