First online collective prayer in the United Kingdom
London: UK’s great Kashmiri leader and Deputy secretary general of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, Chaudhry Muhammad Luqman, has become yet another victim of the global pandemic cronavirus.
A special collective prayer for his recovery was organized via online video conferencing. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, all mosques are closed in UK & Europe. This will be the first online collective prayer in which participants from UK, Europe, Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and all over the world can participate from their homes.
Chaudhry Muhammad Luqman was born in Khuirratta, district Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and currently lives in Watford in the United Kingdom. In order to highlight the issue Kashmir, he has played an important role in organizing the Kashmir movement on many global forums.
Chaudhry Mohammed Luqman is also responsible for inspiring a young Kashmiri Leader Raja Fahim Kayani, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK to join the Kashmir freedom struggle.
Now Raja Fahim Kayani is playing a vital role at an international level to highlight the Kashmir issue. Ch Muhammad Luqman is one of the pioneer members of the largest education base charity the Read Foundation based in the United Kingdom. He is a trustee of Aghosh UK which runs the largest orphan projects in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir . He also runs icare project of the United Kingdom and Islamic mission in greater London , the aim of the project is to help needy people in the United Kingdom.
He is the patron in chief of to the largest kids magazine “Bazm e Roshni” in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He has actively participated in charitable activities during the earthquake in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He wrote a book regarding the suffering of the victims of earth quakes.
He started his political journey with by the political party, Azad Muslim Conference, he then went on to join, Anjuman e Tulba Islam. Later on he was inspired by the literature of world renowned Islamic scholar and founder of Jamaat-e-Islami in the Indian sub continent. Syed Abu Alla Mududi R.a , while studying in Mirpur degree college and he then joined Islami Jamiat e tulaba. He formed a group of his close friends to help those students who came from villages of district Kotli and Mirpur to study in Mirpur degree college.
He was involved in a tragic accident and became paralyzed while he was campaigning in Mirpur district, for Pakistan level Student convention which was going to be held in Punjab University in 1997. After the accident, within three weeks, he arrived to the United Kingdom for treatment, since then he has been residing in Watford UK. For a few years he worked in Watford Council and then started his own food business.
He has travelled more than 30 countries and inspired many people through actively participating in Kashmir related activities in different countries. He says that no one is disable in the world, but that their environment makes them disable. He is very thankful to the UK government who created such facilities to promote equality for disabled people. He is blessed with one daughter named Shezadi Hafsa Balqees. May Allah grant him Shifa e Kamila Ameen.
