Syed Khalid Gardezi has been appointed as Press Secretary along with AJ&K PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan

London: Renowned journalist Syed Khalid Gardezi has been appointed as Press Coordinator / Press Secretary along with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.

Services Department has issued notification. Syed Khalid Gardezi has been working as a journalist in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad for the last 17 years. As a partner and editor, he founded the first registered digital media group, stateviews.pk, and the daily StateViews. He previously held various key management positions, including editor of the national and state newspapers.

He is an elected member of the governing body of the National Press Club Islamabad that is the most important press club in Pakistan. He has been an official of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists, a prominent and active organisation of the country fighting for the rights of journalists.

He is the founding secretary general of the Jammu and Kashmir Editors Council and a senior member of the Kashmir Journalists Forum, an organisation of Kashmiri journalists in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

He is National Security Workshop Certified. In this regard, his analysis and reports are published nationally. He also played an important role in the positive professional co-ordination of international and national journalists. During his journalistic career, he worked on topics such as conflict, politics and the constitution.

He studied political science as a curriculum and did dozens of professional training courses in his home country and abroad. He is also a member of the Press Foundation Azad Kashmir, the only constitutional body for journalists, and the National Coordinator of the Pakistan Federation of Columnists.
