The chief executive of Birmingham city council, visited Alum Rock Ward
Birmingham: The Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council Dawn Baxendale, visited the Alum Rock area alongside Cllr Tristan Chatfield who is the cabinet member for social inclusion, community safety and equalities. The visit was orgnized by Cllr Mariam Khan. It was a highly significant visit, that in the history of Birmingham, that a Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council has visited the Alum Rock Ward. A number of community representatives were also invited to join the walk about on Alum Rock Road ending with a visit to Masjid Ali on Aston Church Road. Alum Rock Ward boasts a very large Kashmiri community, who represent the area.Also were present Javed Iqbal, Wajid Hussain Balathi Alum Rock Community Forum, Halima Ali Seek For Change, Ziarab Moammed Alum Rock Football Academy, Maulana Khalid, Javid Majid Rehman Business Representative, Mohammed Rassab and other.
